Umaid Bhawan Palace: Umaid Bhawan Palace is a palace turned heritage hotel in Jodhpur. It was built to provide employment due to the season of a long drought. Finest marble was used in the construction of the palace. The locals of Jodhpur call it Chittar Palace as the chittar sandstone was used in the construction. It is a worth visiting site for its balconies, charming courtyards, green gardens and stately rooms. The Architecture of the building is of Indo-Saracenic architecture. Now this palace was parted into a heritage hotel and a museum.
Mehrangarh Fort: Located at the top of a 125 meter high hill, Mehrangarh Fort is the major attraction of Jodhpur city. The construction of the fort was begun by the founder of Jodhpur, Rao Jodha. Jaswant Singh however completed construction of the most of the palaces of the fort. The collections of the Fort museum are palanquins, howdahs, royal cradles, miniatures, musical instruments, costumes and furniture.
Jaswant Thada: It is a white marble memorial built in memory of the maharaja Jaswant Singh II. The intricate carving of the marble of the cenotaph is worth viewing.
Kaman Art Gallery: Kaman Art Gallery displays the art works of the contemporary Indian painters. It is located near the Clock Tower.
Osiyan Temple: A famous Jain temple, Osiyan temple is located at a distance of 60 kms from Jodhpur. The architecture of the temple is marvelous.
