The architecture of the fort is a fusion of Hindu and Muslim architecture. It is a fort of white marble and red sandstone. The Maotha Lake is located in front of the fort creating a unique landscape to the entire ambience. The Amber fort building was first started by Raja Man Singh I and later Raja Jai Singh II completed the Amber Fort.
The outer view of the fort is rugged; the interior of the fort is more gorgeous than the outer view. Both Muslim and Hindu art décor adorn the interiors of the fort. The walls are embellished with murals, portraits, frescoes, mirror works, etc. A wall covers the fort from all side. Tourists can reach the main area of the fort riding back on an elephant. Amber Fort is incomplete without an elephant ride. The major attractions of the fort are the Hall of Public Audiences and the Hall of Victory. The Shila Devi temple covers a major part of the fort. The main attractions of the fort are the silver doors and silver lions.
