The majestic Jain temple of Ranakpur, Chaumukha Temple is built of light colored marble and the complex covers an area of approximately 60 x 62 meters. The main features of the temple are the distinctive domes, shikhara, turrets and cupolas. There are 1444 marble pillars in the temple. The pillars are carved and no one share any similarity with other pillar. The other attractions of the temple are 24 pillared halls, 80 domes. One will be surprised to see the artistic creativity of the workmen when he or she will see the changing colors of the pillars during the day.
There are four entrances to the Ranakpur temple. The main hall of the temple houses an image of Adinath surrounded by several shrines and domes. The temple complex of Ranakpur Jain temple also houses two temples dedicated to Parsavanath and Surya God. The temple dedicated to Parsavanath is known as the Patriyon Ka Mandir and famous for the art works of the windows adorned with Jain figures. The Surya Narayan temple houses an idol of Sun God sitting in his chariot.
